Pomona, California — Despite a wide variety of bloodlines within the group, the nearly two dozen horses that are being consigned by Milky Way Farm to the 2026 Fasig-Tipton California Fall Yearlings Sale on September 30 all have two things in common: each is a registered California-bred, and eligible for a $500,000 bonus.
Acting as agent, the Temecula farm is offering 21 young racing prospects at the state’s benchmark yearling sale, which will be conducted during a single session at Fairplex in Pomona, starting at 11 a.m. The catalog numbers 293 horses overall.
Anchoring the Milky Way consignment are 13 sons and daughters of the farm’s resident Grade 1 / Group 1 stallions Graydar, Midnight Storm, Passion for Gold and Tizamagician, as well as the former roster member Rumpus Cat.
California sires Eight Rings and Visitant are also represented among the group, as are the Kentucky-based stallions Flameaway, Lexitonian, Mo Donegal and Pappacap.
All yearlings are eligible for a newly announced $500,000 bonus from Fasig-Tipton and the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association that will be awarded to the first sale graduate who wins a Grade 1 race in the United States at age 2 or 3.
The Milky Way Farm representatives are currently available for on-site inspection in Barn 1.
